ABOUT BUDDHA SAKYAMUNI
In ancient India the title Buddha referred to an enlightened being who has awakened from the sleep of ignorance and achieved freedom from suffering. According to the various traditions of Buddhism, Buddhas have existed in the past and will exist in the future. Siddhartha Gautama already lived 547 lives as a Bodhisattva before he became enlightened, the Buddha.
There are 32 major marks and 80 minor marks in the image of Buddha. The image of Buddha is a personification of attributes of love, kindness, compassion, generosity, wisdom and morality!

Drawing on location for one week includes sketching the deity of size 12x18 inches.

Painting on location for one month includes painting a very basic Thangka Painting of size 17x14 inches .

Painting on location for three months includes three weeks of intense sketching, one week of inking and painting for eight weeks creating a Thangka Painting with landscape of size 20x15 inches. The size doubles with traditional silk brocade mounting.
